When it comes to fashion I must say it's one of my true passions in life. Seeing that perfect vest, or pair of cow boy boots lights something inside of me I couldn't put into words. Most people wouldn't understand, how the stitching in a pair of vinatge shorts could give someone a jolt of sheer thrill. When I'm down, clothes make me happy. Is that a good thing? Most likely no. But I'll take it as it is. The whole point of this is to put into words my love, or obession for fashion. I hope I can shed some light on shoppaholic's, like myself. I spend way too much money on things you find pointless. I should derscribe my personal style before I get into anything too deep. It's rather hard to have a personal style when you love pretty much everything like I myself do. But I have to say I have a true love for vintage clothing. I'd like to call myself a vintage fanatic. Vest's and vinatge Dior sweaters call my name like no other. I like classic male style, done so well by Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly. I also love pin up flirty style like Katy Perry or Zooey Danschenel. I like to mix both of those classic styles in a casual way, not too much but just enough. My fashion idol has to be Agyness Deyn. She does this so well, boyish short hair. But a breath taking face no one could mistake for male. Her style is amazing. I think her taste in music also influence's her style alot. As with myself, and anyone else. More than likely the music you listen to influence's the way you dress. In a time where I was into so called "emo" bands black skinny jeans and band hoodies were a staple in my woredrobe. But growing older changes you're out look on things, my style has grown with me. It's gotten better, like a nice wine. Make-up and hair is just as important as the clothes, with the right hair even the cheapest outfit can look like a million bucks. Make-up can make you look so many things you aren't. It's like your own little mask, but that's made of your face. I'm not into trends, and looking "sexy" isn't a priority to me. I like to give the illusion I'm showing alot of skin when I'm truely not showing anything at all, my number one style staple of the moment is tights. I love tights, they are the best thing invented by man (the light bulb, bread, cars, yeah tights still win). Tights can help any outfit go from blah, boring, normal, to Bright! Flashy! Unique! A pair of ripped tights over top of a pair of bright blue tights give just enough colour to make someone stare. And everyone knows how much I love attention. The best thing about fashion has to be being able to hide the things you don't like about your body underneath some beautiful garmet. No one has to know how big your butt is, or how little your breast are. It doesn't matter what size you are, you can have great style if you try hard enough, no matter what someone may tell you. Fashion isn't about being the skinniest girl, it's about having the best shoes. Fashion is magical, that one perfect dress can make you feel like your on top of the world. Or make that one boy you've been eyeing take a second look. Fashion is more than just some vain experssion of how sexy you can be, or how much skin you can show. It's art you can wear, it's wearing your insides out. It's something you carry with you, something that builds you up. Something that defines what you are, the way you dress can make you or break you. Fashion is a way of life. I eat, live and breathe fashion.
